Changgyeonggung Palace : The palace of the Joseon Dynasty


The palace of the Joseon Dynasty, located in Waryong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. After liberation, and Japanese occupation, called 'Chang Kyung Won) (昌慶苑' for more than 40 years visited Changgyeong Palace in accordance with the restored palace in 1986 but was called to.

Taejong, the third king of Joseon, was built in 1418 to live as King Sang after abdicating the throne to Sejong. At the time of the construction, the name was Suganggung, meaning that King Sejong wanted peace with Mansu River in Taejong, the father of King Sejong.


The royal household and Japan visited Changgyeong Palace in damage to the Japanese occupation in the zoo and Botanical Gardens, and as a playground. This continued even after independence, and the facilities of the amusement park were demolished in 1983-1986 and relocated to Seoul Grand Park.

As of Jan. 1, 2019, visitors will be able to watch the show at night, just like Deoksugung Palace.
