Wonder Girls : South Korean girl groups

Wonder Girls (last members: Ye-eun, Yu-bin, Sun-mi and Hye-rim) are South Korean girl groups that debuted on Feb. 10, 2007.

The early Wonder Girls were prepared as a four-member group of Hyun-ah, So-hee and Sun-mi with Seon-yee at the center and started as a five-member group with the last member Ye-eun joining them in a closed-door audition shortly before their debut. However, the member did not stay on and made her debut in July 2007, when HyunA left the group due to health problems caused by habitual enteritis, and later on January 23, 2010, Sunmi announced her suspension from her activities in the U.S., bringing in new member Hyerim. Later in July 2015, before the release of the new album, So-hee, who changed her agency due to her marriage to Sun-ye and the actor-turned-actress, withdrew and Sun-mi, who had been suspended, rejoined to become the current four-member group's.

The band broke the ballad-oriented K-pop trend and enjoyed an overwhelming heyday as a "people’s girl group," producing three consecutive hit lines of "Tell me," "So Hot" and "Nobody" for about a year from the second half of 2007. In 2009, "Nobody" was a smash hit across Asia, maintaining its overwhelming lead in early YouTube views, at the forefront of the K-pop craze in the early on. In 2016, the group topped the music charts with "Why So Lonely," completed by writing, composing and recording all of its members’ full-length songs amid the changing trend of girl group generations, and was the only second-generation girl group to be nominated for the Women’s Group Award at various year-end ceremonies, attracting consumers who did not exist in the previous K-pop scene, namely uncle Pan, back into the television and record stores. He absorbed his uncle's fans, including those in their teens and 20s, into core fans, and music had a wide recognition from children to grandparents, both men and women. Unlike other girl groups in terms of sex among their fans, they are more popular among women than men. In the 2007-8 period, known as the heyday, the ratio of men to women was around 4:6, a little more women, but now the proportion of women is higher.

These days, all of its members are idol groups with writing and composing skills, and they are the only girl groups.

Wonder Girls' best weapon is their music record, but their music score is the highest ever since their debut, and even if their record or broadcasting scores are down from other girl groups, the only reason why they were nominated for the top spot was because of one song score. If she has released a record since Tell Me, her title song has never been ranked No. 1 on the music site, and she lost to Girls' Generation in her second full-length album in the U.S., but she lost because she was behind in the record and broadcasting scores in the first place, and her music scores were quite high. In their fourth album, released in 2016, they beat BEAST to top the M Countdown, when the Wonder Girls beat BEAST by a perfect score of music, even though they were beaten by BEAST in record sales, preference and real-time text voting scores. Since then, she has also topped popular songs, with the Wonder Girls' music score at 5,500 points, and the SNS score at 3,500 points. Despite many critics saying that he has stepped down from his heyday, it can be seen that the public is still at the top of the list.

As stated in detail, the music genre is dance and band, similar to AOA in this regard and slightly different. The AOA started first as a band, and now is fixed as a dance group after parallel with dance, while the Wonder Girls have long been a dance group and are now both in a dance group and a band.

Another notable feature is that it shows that it is more about challenges than just focusing on performance. Since its debut, there have been many challenges, but the success of the midium tempo ballad singer & group has been huge since SG Wannabe's hit song "Girl Group," which was hard to find since SES and Fin.K.L., and with a retro concept that would be reluctant to be an idol girl group, we can achieve tremendous challenges in the heyday and heyday of idol girl groups. Of course, there are controversies over the results as well, but Yubin’s appearance in Unpretty Rapstar 2 was a quite unusual case for the ninth-year girl group’s flagship member. In his third full-length album comeback, he also made remarkable achievements by challenging the concept of a band-plus-dance combination that can be unfamiliar to him. In 2016, she first released her pre-released song "To Beautiful You" as an LP version ahead of the release of her new album, which no idol group has ever done except for the extent of Infinite, whose agency president is known for his minor tastes.

In preparation for her debut, she tried to be a vocalist without a rapper, but perhaps because rap is essential for the instrumental battle of JYP's song, she will be in charge of rap, which meets the sexy image required by the rapper among Hyun-ah and So-hee, who have a singing ability. Yu Bin, who later joined the club, took on the rapper position as she had been a rapper since she was a bad girl.

Most of the members have experienced bobbed hair. Of course, all of them wore short wigs during "Nobody," but excluding this, all of them were short-haired, except Ye-eun and So-hee. Sun-yee was in "So Hot" and "Like This," Yu-bin was in "Tell Me" & "This Idiot" & "So Hot," Sun-mi was in solo activity "24 Hours Out," and Hye-rim started in "I Feel You." Even HyunA, who only had one album, was short-haired at the time. Ye-eun had several short hair shots on her album jacket, "Wonder Begins" and "Wonder Party," but all of them were wigs and long hair. Sohee has never worn a bobbed wig except for "Nobody." Even now, she has always worked with her bangs and moved on as an actor throughout her career.

On the other hand, unlike other girl groups, there are two things that are definitely not there: one is in charge of dance and the other is in charge of entertainment. In her third full-length album, she seems to be more in charge of dance while working as a freestyle genre. Yu-bin was in charge of sharing with Sun-ye and So-hee during the Tell Me Dance Break, and Ye-eun was the chairman of the dance club before her debut, but she was only a high school amateur club. After debuting as a one-girl, HyunA, Sunye, and Sohee have never been pushed to show their dance skills. Since their debut, Sunmi and Hyerim have been far from a good dancer image. Hyerim is not bad at dancing because she is very flexible. The problem is Sunmi, whose body proportions are good, but the dance line itself is pretty, as explained above, but it is hard to say that she is so good at it compared to other idol groups. I'm not good at performing shoulder dances at the Tencent concert Be My Baby in January 2016. Fans think that the members' inability to dance has reduced the concentration of choreography to one person rather than to dance, and they are divided into different opinions even if the members dance the best. What is commonly referred to as "Yubin," "Sunye" and "Sohee" are also mentioned.

HyunA, who was seen as a wild horse character when she was in charge of entertainment, withdrew from the show. He is famous for not showing up on entertainment programs. The members have no sense of entertainment in general, and are pushed hard by other panels and idols on the program, which cannot even send out proper comments. Ye-eun, who has a strong personality, says this, but it's customary to come out on the air and cry because she feels like she's been sick since she went to the U.S. Even if you try to say something, you can only see how much it's aired and you can only get a reaction. When he appeared on SNL Korea in 2015, he said, "We are known as a no-fun group," and he knows very well that they themselves are weak on entertainment. Among the 2011 activities, only a limited number of pre-eminent artists were making small amounts of them when they came out with Yubin, Ye Eun, and Jo Kwon. A precognitive scholar is a good speaker but not funny. Many say that Sun-mi will fit into the entertainment industry with her signature four-dimensional character, but I can't guarantee that she's not just the wrong character, but the real reason why her mind flies out of her mind to the fourth dimension. Meanwhile, in REBOOT activities, Hyerim is emerging as an expected source of new entertainment. It's the opposite of Sunmi's style of collecting raw materials quietly, and then popping the ball at random. As the four remaining members are all bright characters, the overall sense of entertainment has increased. In particular, the youngest line, Sunmi and Hyerim, are very active, and Ye-eun, who is in charge of major entertainment shows, has become relatively quiet compared to the past, and the entertainment hall is changing from Ye-eun to Hyerim.

From 2015, Sunye, the leader, left the group without a leader. In the beginning, Ye-eun was the leader for a while, but the members switched to picking the class president for the month in order not to burden Ye-eun, according to an interview.

When it comes to group choreography, they show fantastic teamwork, just like idol groups do, but strangely, they don't fit in as well as when greeting. Whenever we greet each other, the waves are flowing over and over, which makes it look very chaotic. Sometimes, something doesn't fit into the choreography, so it becomes a mirror mode of its own like the picture above. It's not just when I'm a rookie, it's even now. Fans know this very well, so they are using it as a joke. If you want to see more Wonder Girls teamwork, see Link.

Unusually, every time I appear on a music show, I always stand in the corner in a group shot. This has also been maintained since his rookie year until now, which is why fans argue that if he wants to stand in the center of the one-girl group shot, he should be the No. 1 candidate and forced to stand in the center.
