COEX
Coex is a private company affiliated with the Korea International Trade Association in Gangnam-gu, South Korea, which operates and manages general facilities and COEX Mall. The original name was KOEX, but it was renamed COEX in 1998.[1] Samsung Station on Line 2 and Bongeunsa Station on Line 9 are connected to COEX.The comprehensive exhibition facility consists of the main hall and an annex, and is surrounded by amenities such as hotels and department stores, as well as foreign casinos, and is located on the ground with the performance hall "CoX Artium."
COEX is South Korea's largest exhibition organizer (PEO) and a professional international conference organizer (PCO) that plans and hosts about 30 to 50 international exhibitions every month. Six of the exhibitions hosted by COEX are internationally certified by the International Exhibition Association (UFI), and recently, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is hosting Korea’s first overseas exhibition.
The COEX is a corporation owned by the Korea International Trade Association, in contrast to most of the convention centers in South Korea run by state-run companies established by their respective local governments. In February 2012, COEX had 198 employees.
Starfield Coex Mall
Large shopping mall & complex cultural space located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It is the first shopping mall to be opened in Korea under the name COEX Mall in May 2000.[1] The name was changed to Starfield COEX Mall in 2016 when Shinsegae operated Starfield.Although there are some stores on other floors, the main area where the stores are concentrated is on the first basement floor, where various fashion shops, cafes, and restaurants are clustered. However, it is not cheap. Big facilities include Megabox COEX, COEX Aquarium, Youngpoong Bookstore, Byeolmadang Library, and Piero Shopping. The COEX Aquarium is fine in terms of size and attractions. KFC, Burger King, and McDonald's are operating in fast food restaurants. It can be further down the middle of the street, but there are not many people. This place, a stair-type rest stop, is frequently held on weekends. If an autograph event is held, a huge number of people will gather from one to two hours before the event.
Although most of the commercial districts are bare on one floor, the size of this underground shopping mall is so large and the sections are similar due to the characteristics of these buildingsIt seems that first-time visitors, especially Gil-chi, can be quite lost in the mystery. Especially when you have to go to a place where you have to go by the side of the wall, not by the main road, it's a scary place where people who are not guile are turned into guillars. Whether you don't know it or not, the signposts and direction signs are quite faithful, so major facilities such as subway exits, exhibition halls, movie theaters, aquariums and food courts are supposed to arrive at any rate as long as you follow the signs. A straight line, of course, returning much better than get nothing if you navigate the path that does not feel that side effects also exist. If you turn around naturally and ask for more shopping, you might have been called Seoul's three most beautiful palaces along with Seonin Dunjeon and Honggwat. Of course, if you go around often, you get used to it.
It connects directly to Samsung Station on Seoul Subway Line 2 and Bongeun Temple Station on Seoul Subway Line 9.
As this is a place where people who want to enjoy their leisure time go shopping and chat, they may not have much to do if they expect something to be done. There have been smokers in the past, but since August 2011, the plaza has been designated as a no-smoking area, smokers have to go up to subway exit No. 5.
